FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Eagle Star different from other roofing companies?

We inspect, document, estimate, and rebuild - all with one team - and hand you a clear, photographed record of exactly what the storm did. Most roofers give you a number; we give you the proof behind it.

What does Eagle Star take off my plate?

The whole roofing side. We inspect, photograph, and measure the damage, write it up in a detailed estimate, build the restoration, and hand you the completion records. You get one clear, documented package on your roof instead of chasing the details yourself.

What does the free inspection include?

We inspect the roof, siding, gutters, fascia, and soffit and document observed construction conditions with photographs and measurements. The written report states what the inspection observed. There is no inspection charge either way.

What if my insurance claim is denied?

Read the denial and your policy, and contact your carrier promptly - reopening options and timing vary. Eagle Star can re-inspect the roof and give you a fresh, fully documented record of the damage, so you are working from clear evidence instead of a first look that may have missed something.

How much does a new roof cost me out of pocket?

The initial roof inspection is free. Your price comes from the construction agreement - the scope and materials you approve - and we lay it out clearly before any work begins. What your insurer reimburses depends on your policy and their decision, and we make sure you walk in with the documentation to back up the full scope.

What is recoverable depreciation and why does it matter?

Depending on your policy and the covered loss, an Actual Cash Value payment can hold back depreciation, while a replacement-cost policy may let you recover some of it after the qualifying work is finished and documented. Eagle Star gives you the completion records that support it. Conditions and deadlines vary, so check your policy and carrier communications promptly.

How long does the whole process take?

The roofing timeline depends on material availability, permitting, and weather, and we give you a clear schedule in the construction agreement so you know what to expect at each stage.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Greater Chicagoland, including McHenry, Cook, Lake, and DuPage counties. The service area includes Crystal Lake, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Naperville, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Cary, Woodstock, and surrounding communities.

What happens before construction begins?

After the inspection, Eagle Star provides the proposed construction scope and written estimate. You can review those documents before deciding whether to enter a construction agreement.

What roofing materials and warranties are available?

Material and warranty options depend on the product selected, manufacturer terms, and the construction agreement. Eagle Star explains the applicable product information before work is agreed.
